Cook (Full-Time) - Chandler Place AL/MC

About the role

The successful candidate will play a critical role in maintaining and enhancing resident satisfaction through top-notch food service in a high-quality, cutting-edge Assisted Living and Memory Care Community.

Responsibilities

• Prepare palatable foods that are appetizing in appearance
• Show knowledge of safety and sanitary requirements
• Learn basic tasks and follow written and verbal instructions
• Ensure pleasant, friendly, and helpful service at all times
• Follow dress requirements

Requirements

• Maintain a current ServSafe certificate or participate in training to become ServSafe certified
• Have a High School diploma or GED
• Have one (1) year job-related experience including food preparation, full-line menu items, and therapeutic diets
• Be 16 years or older in North Carolina, 18 years or older if operating power-driven machines
• Have three (3) years' experience in a healthcare, hospitality, or service environment
• Have culinary arts experience
• Have CPR & First-Aid certifications
• Be able to work in an environment conducive to caring for residents without posing a substantial safety or health threat to self or others
• Be able to work well with others and promote a team environment

Qualifications

Must be 16 years or older. In NC, must be 18 years or older if operating power-driven machines such as a meat slicer, mixer, etc.

Skills

• Culinary arts experience preferred
• CPR & First-Aid certifications preferred
