Role Overview

The Cook supports daily food preparation for café services and catering events, ensuring high-quality, consistent dishes.

Responsibilities

  • Preparing menu items
  • Executing recipes
  • Sets up and maintains kitchen stations
  • Adheres to food safety standards
  • Chopping, portioning, assembling ingredients
  • Short-order cooking
  • Works collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure efficient operations
  • Maintains inventory
  • Maintains cleanliness
  • Supports a safe, organized environment

Qualifications And Skills

  • At least 2 years of cooking experience in food service or catering
  • Proficiency in various cooking methods and equipment
  • Knowledge of vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free preparations
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting
  • Food safety, sanitation, and proper handling knowledge; ServSafe certification required or obtained within six weeks

Additional Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 25 pounds
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
