Role Overview
The Cook supports daily food preparation for café services and catering events, ensuring high-quality, consistent dishes.
Responsibilities
- Preparing menu items
- Executing recipes
- Sets up and maintains kitchen stations
- Adheres to food safety standards
- Chopping, portioning, assembling ingredients
- Short-order cooking
- Works collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure efficient operations
- Maintains inventory
- Maintains cleanliness
- Supports a safe, organized environment
Qualifications And Skills
- At least 2 years of cooking experience in food service or catering
- Proficiency in various cooking methods and equipment
- Knowledge of vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free preparations
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting
- Food safety, sanitation, and proper handling knowledge; ServSafe certification required or obtained within six weeks
Additional Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 25 pounds
- Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
