About the role

Under general supervision and according to established policies and procedures, performs duties related to the preparation and service of patient, staff, and guest meals.

Location: Detroit, Michigan • Facility: DMC Receiving Hospital • Job Type: PRN • Shift Type: Rotating

Responsibilities

• Preparing food items for patient and retail food services according to standard recipes
• Food portioning
• Garnishing and setup for service
• Display cooking, setup and service
• Cleaning and sanitizing all equipment and work areas between use
• Maintaining accurate production records

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Vocational training in Culinary Arts preferred
• Four to six months of prior institutional or commercial quantity cooking experience
