About the role
Cook needed for school food service in the Pompton Lakes/Bloomingdale, NJ area.
Schedule
- Monday through Friday, day shift
- 5 to 7 hours daily
- No weekends or holidays
- Summers off
Responsibilities
- Prepare hot and cold meals
- Follow menus and recipes according to the NSLP guidelines
- Adhere to all safety and food handling procedures
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times
- Stocking
- Serving
- Cash register operation
- Cleaning and related duties
Requirements
- Cooking experience required
- K-12 food service experience a plus
- ServSafe® certification a plus
- Must be able to obtain the proper documentation to work in schools
