About the role

The cook prepares all food items according to the Cadillac Bar menu, recipes, plate specifications, and guest requests, ensuring high-quality food preparation and service within specified prep times. This role requires a high level of professional and personalized guest service aligned with the company’s brand standards and core values: Kindness, Engagement, Empathy, and Positivity (K.E.E.P.).

Responsibilities

• Read, decipher, and execute cooking procedures and plate presentation based on established recipes and specifications.
• Work quickly and accurately while adhering to Cadillac Bar’s timing guidelines for food preparation.
• Maintain a clean and professional appearance and arrive with all necessary work tools.
• Demonstrate thorough knowledge of food menus and plate specifications to ensure proper product quality, presentation, and service.
• Ensure proper rotation and portioning of products to maintain quality.
• Keep your station and the kitchen organized, sanitized, and stocked to prescribed PAR levels.
• Use proper food handling techniques and maintain a detail-oriented approach.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and correctly throughout the restaurant.
• Ensure a safe work environment by utilizing safety equipment as applicable.
• Engage in teamwork by assisting fellow employees and managers to deliver the finest guest service.
• Maintain courtesy, respect, positivity, and professionalism at all times.
• Adhere to all applicable policies, procedures, and health laws.
• Follow directions efficiently and positively.
• Communicate supply needs, equipment issues, or other areas requiring attention to management.

Requirements

• Valid health card.
• Strong interpersonal skills; ability to communicate and execute tasks in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while maintaining respect for all.
• Minimum one year of cooking experience, preferably in a hotel or casino environment.
• Proficiency in kitchen equipment and knife skills.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Minimum age requirement: 18 years.
• Ability to complete standard forms and reports.
