About the Role
We are looking for a qualified candidate with 1-5 years experience in a commercial kitchen to join our team at Little Lukes Preschool and Childcare Center. This is a part-time role, Monday through Friday, 52 weeks per year, for 6 hours per day including breakfast and lunch service for up to 90 children at our preschool.
Opportunity for free daycare for your preschool child ages 3-5 in our preschool program.
Responsibilities
- Preparing food in a timely manner to comply with CACFP meal guidelines and portion sizes.
- Documentation for CACFP through Food Production Log.
- Kitchen maintenance and cleaning.
- Maintain inventory of food and supplies.
- Develop shopping list/purchase order based on center menus/center par system and gather items from local shopping centers needed for meals within work schedule.
- Following Food Safety Requirements (food prep and storage).
Requirements
- 1-5 years experience in a commercial kitchen.
- Hard working, organized, with great time management skills.
- Ability to work both unsupervised and with a team, with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Food prep/kitchen experience required.
- CACFP familiarity preferred.
- Clean driving record and personal vehicle needed to transport groceries; mileage compensation provided.
- Willing to submit to a background check.
