Responsibilities
Prepare and cook menu items according to DoubleTree by Hilton recipes, standards, and presentation guidelines. This includes breakfast, lunch, dinner, banquets, and special events.
Set up, stock, and maintain workstations to meet kitchen demands during service hours (line cooking, buffet preparation, banquet cooking, etc.).
Ensure consistent food quality by checking ingredients for freshness, taste, temperature, and presentation.
Follow Hilton, DoubleTree, and local health department sanitation and food safety regulations (e.g., proper food handling, cleaning, temperature checks, and storage practices).
Work closely with kitchen staff, servers, and management to maintain smooth service, especially during high-volume periods like conferences, or weddings.
Assist in receiving, rotating, and properly storing inventory and supplies. Help with monthly inventories when needed.
Occasionally interact with guests (e.g., open kitchen, chef’s station events) to ensure satisfaction and accommodate special requests.
Properly use and clean kitchen equipment, report maintenance issues promptly to keep operations safe and efficient.
Requirements
A high school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience in food service, hospitality, or customer service (preferred).
