Duties
The Cook is responsible for daily operations, balancing food preparation, production, and compliance with health and safety standards. The incumbent ensures meals are prepared to specification, served on time, and meet regulatory requirements.
Minimum Qualifications
- Non-competitive: three years of experience in large-scale cooking.
- Preferred: The preferred candidate will have cooking experience in a healthcare, senior living, or institutional setting (hospital, nursing home, school cafeteria, or large-volume restaurant) over general restaurant experience.
- Preferred: The preferred candidate will have formal culinary training or a culinary arts certificate, or experience working under a Registered Dietitian or Dietary Manager.
