About the role

The Cook 2/ intermediate line cook position at Hyatt Regency Miami is part of a dynamic team that transforms everyday moments into extraordinary experiences. Located in the trendy Brickell neighborhood, the hotel offers stunning views of the Miami River and easy access to local attractions.

Responsibilities

• Work single stations in the kitchen under significant supervision and training
• Perform all basic cooking skills
• Ensure food preparation meets quality standards
• Communicate effectively with other kitchen staff and management
• Adapt to a flexible schedule including AM or PM shifts, holidays, and weekends

Requirements

• Hotel cooking experience
• Culinary degree or related hotel experience
• Professional knowledge of cooking ingredients and procedures
• Ability to lift, pull, and push up to a moderate weight
• Refined verbal communication skills
• Ability to stand for long periods of time

Qualifications

• 2 years of previous line experience preferred
• A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment

Skills

Intermediate cooks should possess a professional knowledge of cooking ingredients and procedures, along with the ability to perform all basic cooking skills and work single stations in the kitchen.
