This culinary position requires good communication skills as well as at least three years of previous line and fine dining experience. A culinary degree or related hotel experience is preferred. Candidates should be able to perform all basic and intermediate cooking skills including preparation of soups, sauces, stocks, frying, and broiling.

Responsibilities

• Preparation of all pastry products as trained in accordance to pastry shop standards
• Assist higher level bakers
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Chef
• May be required to give direction in the supervisor's absence

Qualifications

• Good communication skills
• At least three years of previous line and fine dining experience (preferred)
• Culinary degree or related hotel experience (preferred)
• Ability to perform all basic and intermediate cooking skills (including preparation of soups, sauces, stocks, frying, and broiling)
• Able to work multiple stations in the kitchen
• Requires moderate supervision and training
• Must be able to work AM or PM shifts, holidays, and weekends
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time
• Must be able to lift, pull, and push up to a moderate weight
