Converting Operator -Start pay $22- up to $24 with converting experience

Major Function

Responsible to operate converting bag machines in a safe manner and produce quality product with minimal scrap, meet production schedules and keep work area clean.

Primary Duties

• Perform timely and thorough quality checks throughout the shift and record them on your shift report.
• Packer/Inspectors are required to perform quality checks every ½ hour.
• Perform any light maintenance that is needed on machine and communicate major issues to supervisor/lead person.
• Run and catch on a machine or run 2-3 machines with help of an assistant.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent (GED)
• Minimum 1-year product (plastics) or industry specific (converting) machine experience is highly preferred
• Minimum 1-year manufacturing experience is required
• Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
• Strong math and measurement skills
• Ability to work well in a team and as an independent contributor
