Converting Machine Operators-12 hour Day and Night Shifts Available

About the role

A Converting Machine Operator at Technipaq operates converting machines to produce quality medical device and pharmaceutical packaging. The role includes inspecting product to ensure it meets customer specifications, adjusting machines, changing material rolls, recording production data, labeling and weighing cartons, and meeting run‑time, scrap, and quality objectives. Operators report to Converting Supervisors and interact with all levels of the company.

Responsibilities

• Make necessary machine adjustments during product runs.
• Change or assist in changing rolls of material.
• Visually and physically inspect product.
• Verify materials and take measurements with a standard ruler to 1/16 inch.
• Record production data and submit in‑process sampling per customer guidelines.
• Label and weigh cartons of product.
• Meet machine run‑time, scrap, and quality objectives.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to perform repetitive motions and lift/carry up to 50 lb without tools or assistance.
• Ability to manipulate (push, pull, buddy‑lift/carry) up to 65 lb.
• Effective reading, writing, and verbal communication in English.
• Ability to stand, sit, or walk for the full shift without accommodations.
• Basic math skills for adding, subtracting, dividing, and multiplying to calculate footage and linear footage.
• Ability to multitask while keeping the machine running, inspecting and packing product, maintaining a clear work area, and completing paperwork.

Skills

• Proficiency with standard measuring tools to 1/16 inch.
• Attention to detail for product inspection and quality control.
• Capability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Basic computer or data‑entry skills for recording production information.

Compensation

$16.00 – $17.50 per hour, depending on shift and prior experience.

Schedule

• Shift A: 6:00 am – 6:30 pm; Week 1 – Mon/Tue/Fri/Sat; Week 2 – Sun/Wed/Thu
• Shift B: 6:00 am – 6:30 pm; Week 2 – Sun/Wed/Thu; Week 1 – Mon/Tue/Fri/Sat
• Shift C: 6:00 pm – 6:30 am; Sun/Mon/Tue and every other Wed
• Shift D: 6:00 pm – 6:30 am; Wed/Thu/Fri and every other Tue
