Robinson Helicopter Company is an engineering-focused organization in Torrance, CA, dedicated to providing affordable helicopters for various applications. We are currently seeking a Conventional Machinist in our CNC Department, reporting to the Manager of Machining. This is a full-time, non-exempt position eligible for overtime.

Essential Functions & Competencies

• Ability to review blueprints and drawings to determine set-up procedures, machining sequence, and dimensions.
• Select fixtures, part holders, and tooling to machine parts to specifications.
• Familiarity with lathes, mills, drill presses, surface grinders, cylindrical grinders, centerless grinders, gear hobs, broaching machines, gun drills, tube hones, horizontal hones, and vertical hones.
• Ability to monitor tools and attachments to ensure parts are properly cooled and lubricated.
• Knowledge of feeds, speeds, and surface finishes related to blueprint requirements.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and geometric tolerances.
• Basic mathematic skills including adding, subtracting, multiplication, division, geometry, and algebra for calculating material fabrication.
• Must be capable of using calipers and basic measuring tools.
• Full compliance with the Company’s DOT Antidrug and Alcohol Misuse Prevention Program.

Regular and Predictable Attendance

Pay Range: $20.00-$35.00/hour
