Role Purpose
Support the design, installation, and troubleshooting of control systems for development and manufacturing equipment.What You'll Do
- Support the design, installation, and troubleshooting of control systems for development and manufacturing equipment.
- Design and implement new controls capabilities, instrumentation, and measurement systems.
- Collaborate with equipment design engineers, deployment teams, and manufacturing partners throughout the technology development process.
- Support equipment startup, commissioning, and process implementation activities.
- Develop technical documentation and provide training for new control systems and equipment.
- Document testing results, observations, project outcomes, and research findings.
- Coordinate and support electricians during equipment installations and upgrades.
- Troubleshoot electrical, controls, and instrumentation issues to improve equipment performance and reliability.
Qualifications
- Experience with industrial controls, automation systems, and electrical troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD and AutoCAD Electrical for schematic development.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical, instrumentation, and mechanical drawings.
- Basic understanding of PLC programming and industrial automation systems.
- Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and support project execution activities.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with industrial safety standards, electrical codes, and diagnostic testing equipment preferred.
Education and Experience
- A 2-year technical degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, Mechatronics, Automation, or a related field preferred.
- Candidates without a degree should possess 7+ years of relevant technical experience.
- Experience with industrial controls, electrical systems, automation, or manufacturing equipment preferred.
