Controls Technician
Essential Job Functions
- Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair industrial control systems, including PLCs, HMIs, and instrumentation
- Support ongoing operations by diagnosing equipment issues and implementing timely corrective actions
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on control systems and electrical equipment
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize system performance and reliability
- Assist with installation, commissioning, and upgrades of new control systems and equipment
- Interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, procedures, and regulatory requirements
Qualifications & Experience
- 5–10 years of experience in controls, electrical, or instrumentation roles in an industrial environment
- Field of study in Electrical, Controls, Instrumentation, or a related technical discipline (no degree required)
- Hands-on experience with PLC programming and troubleshooting (e.g., Allen-Bradley or similar systems)
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, sensors, drives, and process instrumentation
- Ability to analyze problems, think critically, and implement effective solutions
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work cross-functionally and communicate clearly
Compensation & Benefits
The expected hourly salary range for this role is $31 to $40, but specific employee compensation may vary depending on factors including experience, education, training, licensure, certification, location and other job-related, non-discriminatory factors permitted by law.
This role is also eligible to earn a short-term incentive bonus and the following benefits:
