Controls Technician
Contract to Hire position based in Monroe, Wisconsin.
About the role
The Controls Integrator will provide support for client service calls, visiting sites to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues. This role involves contributing to automation projects, including PLC, HMI, SCADA, and DCS programming, as well as network configuration, AC & DC drive setup, instrumentation, electrical design, and commissioning/startup support services. Travel to customer sites within a two-hour radius of Monroe, WI is required. When not traveling, the candidate will support time and material projects or assist other personnel in the division, starting either at the shop or directly at the job site depending on client location.
Responsibilities
- Support client service calls and troubleshoot equipment issues on-site.
- Contribute to various automation projects, including programming and configuration tasks.
- Travel to customer sites within a two-hour radius of Monroe, WI.
- Support time and material projects and assist division personnel when not traveling.
- Edit PLC programs and potentially create new programs from scratch.
Requirements
- Associate's degree in mechatronics or engineering; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in automation troubleshooting.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in PLC programming.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in customer interaction.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and PLC programming.
- Experience with automation, schematic interpretation, and maintenance techniques.
- Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, and controls technology.
- Clean driving record (company vehicle provided).
Work Environment
- Fully onsite position in Monroe, WI.
- Average workweek of 40 hours, with potential for overtime if customer issues are not resolved promptly.
- After-hours calls may occur, with additional compensation provided.
- Overnight stays are rare but possible.
- Expected to remain at customer sites until tasks are completed.
Pay
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $50.00/hr. Individual compensation offered within this range will depend on qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
