Responsibilities
- Ensures all equipment is running safely and efficiently.
- Trains and assists in troubleshooting and repairing electrical control systems and components for production equipment and machinery.
- Develops and implements plans to reduce downtime in production areas.
- Works with engineering and maintenance teams to modify control systems for improved operations.
- Participates in team meetings and fosters cohesion among team members.
- Advises on Simmons’ operating systems and supports their policies.
- Performs other duties as necessary to support business objectives.
Requirements
- Proficient in troubleshooting and repairing electrical control systems and components.
- Knowledge of FactoryTalk, RSLinx, RSLogix 5000, and RSLogix 500.
- Strong understanding of Allen Bradley HMIs, PLCs, relays, and logic diagrams.
- Ability to modify ladder logic programming and read electrical schematics.
- Familiarity with AC/DC motor controls and variable frequency drives.
- Experience with Simmons’ operating systems and policies.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Some college and/or tech school graduate preferred.
- Preference for industrial controls experience and skills in food manufacturing.
- Military experience is valued.
