ESSENTIAL POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
- Troubleshoots/repairs all aspects of electrical control systems and electrical components for production equipment and machinery.
- Drives continuous improvement activities pertaining to production equipment.
- Works effectively to troubleshoot technical issues both related to maintenance and in emergency situations.
- Proficient in FactoryTalk, RSLinx, RSLogix 5000 and RSLogix 500.
- Reads and understands ladder logic and electrical schematics.
- Strong knowledge of Allen Bradley HMIs, PLCs, relays, logic diagrams, etc.
- Supports Maintenance with electrical and control support.
- Creates, integrates, troubleshoots and improves a variety of processing and packaging control systems.
- Reduces downtime by working with Maintenance Manager/Supervisors to develop plans.
- Familiar with AC / DC Motor Controls and Variable Frequency Drives.
- Collaborates with engineering and maintenance teams to modify control systems.
- Participates in team meetings and fosters cohesiveness among team members.
- Understands Simmons operating systems and maintains familiarity with the systems and their impact on the position.
- Performs other duties as necessary in support of business objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Some college and/or Tech School graduate preferred.
- Preference for food manufacturing organization.
- Industrial controls experience/skills.
- Knowledge of RSLogix 500 and 5000 as well as FactoryTalk.
- AABB knowledge is a plus.
