Controls Technician I - Night Shift

Role Overview

Support the efficient operation of a fully automated Distribution Center by maintaining and repairing electrical and mechanical systems. Diagnose issues, perform repairs, and oversee system upgrades to ensure optimal equipment functionality. Read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and PLC programs; load and configure PLCs, HMIs, and scanners. Conduct testing of electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, refrigeration, and water treatment systems, utilizing computer hardware and software such as MS Office and MHE-specific programs.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement preventative maintenance plans for facility equipment.
• Diagnose and repair materials handling and automated picking systems.
• Manage system modifications, upgrades, and efficiency assessments.
• Maintain CMMS/EAM records and inventory of spare parts.
• Complete routine testing and repairs to uphold warehouse productivity.
• Work extended hours as needed to meet operational goals.

Qualifications & Skills

• High School Diploma or GED; technical training or experience a plus.
• 1-2 years related experience; electrical background preferred.
• Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and electronic systems.
• Ability to interpret CAD, wiring diagrams, and PLC logic.
• Proficiency in computer hardware and software, including MS Office and MHE software.
• Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.
