Controls System Engineer
Duties
- New program implementation/execution (SOR prep, forecasting, controls/robotics design, equipment build/run-off and buyoff).
- Design, construction, integration, plant installation, successful launch and continuous improvement of equipment and tools required in plants for the production of high quality parts.
- Manage deliveries to program timing milestones.
- Provide project report outs to senior management.
- Existing program/site support (troubleshooting, etc.).
- Design and troubleshooting of electrical controls systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field of study.
- Eight (8) years of experience as a GM Controls Floor System Engineer, Controls Engineer, Project and Controls Engineer, Mechanical and Electrical Design Engineer, Mechanical Design Jr. Engineer, or related occupation.
- OR Master's degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field of study.
- Five (5) years of experience as a GM Controls Floor System Engineer, Controls Engineer, Project and Controls Engineer, Mechanical and Electrical Design Engineer, Mechanical Design Jr. Engineer, or related occupation.
- Five (5) years of experience with Electrical and Control Systems; Mechanical concepts involving machine designs, process requirements involved in manufacturing process; PLC and HMI programming, Ethernet, and Devicenet networks; design and troubleshoot electrical controls systems; and project management skills.
- Two (2) years of experience with Servo motors, motion controls, and drives; Fanuc robots setup and programming; and GM Control hardware (GCCH-1) and software (GCCS-2) standards.
