Primary Responsibilities
- Experience in PLC and industrial control panel system design and programming
- PREFERRED: Experience with Beckhoff, Siemens, Allen Bradley PLC hardware and software
- Utilize engineering CAD software including Altium, Solidworks Electrical, and Autodesk
- Troubleshoot PLCs and PCBs to the component level
- Create embedded software programming in C/C++
- Create PLC programs in Ladder Diagram, Structured Text, and Function Block Diagram
- PLC and ICP assembly as necessary
- Prepare correct first-time designs for manufacturing, installation and commissioning
- Interface with the Research and Development team to refine designs and optimize for manufacturing
- Create and produce detailed schematics, manufacturing drawings, cable schedules, wiring lists, parts lists, test sheets
- Produce and maintain detailed Bill of Materials and assembly drawings and consult with Assembly Engineers to ensure understanding of project
- Continually research new products that meet the technical requirements and design needs of current or upcoming projects
- Build and maintain relationships with external suppliers, advise on end of life and manufacturer trends
- Interface with compliance to provide all necessary documentation to obtain 3rd party certifications
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering
- Minimum of 3-years work experience in a relevant electrical engineering position
- Able to work collaboratively with a cross-functional team in a fast-paced environment on projects with short life cycles
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Able to pass background check
