Controls Service Technician (Westchester)

Duties

• Complete scheduled preventative maintenance and emergency service calls on existing BMS
• Install, troubleshoot and repair system components including sensors, actuators, controllers, and networking devices
• Troubleshoot installations and correct deficiencies without direct supervision
• Effectively communicate with customers to evaluate service needs, maintain proper scheduling and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
• Maintain and monitor customer buildings to ensure optimum performance standards are being achieved
• Fine tune systems as new programs and sequences are implemented
• Identify opportunities for additional building enhancements and perform upgrades and/or small scale retrofits on existing systems
• Perform necessary software programming, equipment start-up, tuning and calibration and commissioning of BAS
• Be proficient in knowledge of following equipment: VAVs, Exhaust Fans, Unit Vents, AHUs, Hot Water Systems, Chiller Water Systems
• Stay informed of industry developments for energy savings strategies
• Provide feedback to supervisor for ways to improve the installation
• Assume additional responsibilities as needed and approved by Qualifications

  Qualifications

  • Field experience in the HVAC controls industry including DDC Systems commissioning, software integration operation, calibration
  • Experience with Honeywell Niagara/Tridium N4 is preferred
  • Understanding of the construction industry with emphasis in mechanical/electrical
  • Strong communication, organizational and documentation skills
  • Competency in Microsoft Word, Excel, N4 Workbench, AutoCAD
  • Proven track record of completing projects, being self-motivated and achieving customer satisfaction

  Pay

  The salary range for this position is $70,000 to $100,000 depending on experience.
