Controls Materials Coordinator, Construction

The Construction Logistics Coordinator is responsible for all aspects of logistics, supply chain, stores management, development, and optimization of site logistics solutions to meet the needs of the Gigafactory Texas project. This role coordinates the movement of owner-furnished equipment and materials to and from the construction site and controls site facilities.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain a collaborative working relationship with internal and external stakeholders on organizing, purchasing, and tracking owner-furnished construction materials/equipment.
• Work closely with Tesla Procurement to ensure open communications and a complete understanding of all internal processes and procedures.
• Collaborate with Tesla Construction and Procurement teams to identify and mitigate logistics concerns.
• Perform frequent inventory audits and organize material trackers.
• Facilitate equipment turnover to contractors for installation as needed to meet project deadlines.

Requirements

• 2+ years of project experience working in the construction industry (required).
• EIT certification (preferred).
• Experience with large manufacturing facilities construction sites.
• Proficient with MS Office Suite and exposure to schedule software.
• Experience managing consultants and contractors.
• Experience with long-lead and owner-purchased material management.
