Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design, development, and testing of control systems, including PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) programming, HMI (Human-Machine Interface) development, and SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems
  • Support troubleshooting and debugging of control system hardware and software issues under the guidance of senior engineers
  • Participate in drafting and reviewing technical documentation, wiring diagrams, and system schematics
  • Help with the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of control systems on-site as required
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical, electrical, and software engineers, to ensure project success
  • Conduct research on new technologies, components, and industry best practices relevant to control systems
  • Maintain accurate records of work and assist in preparing project reports and presentations

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, or a related field
  • Basic understanding of control systems, PLCs, and industrial automation concepts
  • Familiarity with programming languages such as Ladder Logic, Structured Text, or Function Block Diagram is a plus
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); experience with CAD software is beneficial

Pay

The range for this position is $1,635.00 – $3,185.00 biweekly. Starting pay for the successful applicant is prescribed based on geographic location, nature of position, and year in school.
