Controls Engineer

About the role

Program, research, upgrade, install, and maintain controls for manufacturing and facility equipment. Collaborate with manufacturing, maintenance, engineering, and systems teams to design and support PLC and control systems, ensuring machine efficiency and future readiness.

Responsibilities

• Analyze existing control systems and recommend improvements.
• Work with vendors and project teams to transfer new technologies.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and programming issues.
• Develop preventive maintenance protocols.
• Ensure safety compliance in all control systems.
• Provide technical support and training to team members.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• At least two years of relevant experience in controls engineering.
• Proficiency in electrical testing, schematics, and PLC programming.
• Experience with AutoCAD Electrical and Microsoft Office.
• Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships across departments.
• Willingness to travel as needed.
