About the role
This is a full-time, on-site role located in Watertown, SD for an Electrical and Software Control Engineer specializing in Real-Time Control Systems.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement electrical and software control systems
- Develop and test software for real-time applications
- Integrate electrical components and systems for utility equipment
- Troubleshoot and debug system issues
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Contribute to the development of innovative, reliable solutions
- Support new product development surrounding unit controls
- Support troubleshooting and current product maintenance
- Become a subject matter expert around our current and new control and hydraulic systems
Requirements
- Proficiency in Electrical Engineering and Electrical Design
- Plus three years’ Experience in Software Development and Software Design
- Strong understanding of electrical/electronic components and its application in control systems
- Strong team collaboration and communication skills
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field is preferred
- Experience with real-time control systems or utility equipment is a plus
- Experience with Danfoss Plus+1 software is a plus
- Experience with Codesys software is a plus
- Knowledge of industry standards and safety practices relevant to the utility sector

Benefits
- The compensation range for this position is $80k - $95k annually
- Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc.
