Controls Engineer
About the role
The controls engineer will be part of Customer Technical support, responding to customer needs for technical support. Their days may involve resolving issues for customers in Japan and Indiana, and reviewing service bulletins and manuals.
Responsibilities
- Provide global technical support for the SGT-A05 gas turbine portfolio.
- Travel to customer sites to resolve technical issues.
- Provide technical advice to other departments such as Sales, Design Engineering, Project Engineering, Parts and Operations Departments.
- Support the Siemens Energy Regional Technical Support teams and Support field service engineers at customer sites.
- Provide advice and support to the technical writer for the SGT-A05 range of gas turbines.
- Act as an interface between engineering, overhaul repair facilities, and the packagers of the SGT-A05 gas turbines for performance-related topics.
Requirements
- Engineering degree in mechanical and/or electrical engineering (associates degree may be considered).
- 8+ years of experience with PLC architecture and coding (Allen Bradley based experience preferred).
- 8+ years of experience with rotating equipment.
Qualifications
- Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.
- Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
