Controls Engineer

Responsibilities

• Program the control logic and debug existing code for high-speed packaging equipment using Allen-Bradley and Keyence PLCs.
• Develop and implement Human-Machine Interface (HMI) for new equipment.
• Oversee annual plant electrical preventative maintenance and IR scans.
• Participate in electrical troubleshooting for high-speed packaging equipment.
• Manage electronics and robotics project selection and installation.
• Cook up and work with all electrical vendors as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering is preferred.
• Minimum of 7 years of PLC programming skills and HMI integration/programming skills required.
• Experience with Allen Bradley PLC5, SLC500, Compact Logix, and Keyence is required.
• Robot programming experience with Fanuc is highly preferred.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of electrical systems and controls.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Proficient in using Allen Bradley and Keyence PLCs and HMI software.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
