Controls Engineer

About the role

MS Technology, Inc. is seeking an experienced Controls Engineer with an active Q Clearance to provide hands-on support for manufacturing equipment. This position will focus on troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving equipment and control system issues. Experience with Allen-Bradley or similar platforms is highly desirable. Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and diagnose control system and manufacturing equipment issues
• Provide hands-on technical support to identify and resolve equipment failures
• Troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, control panels, sensors, instrumentation, motor controls, and related equipment
• Review and modify PLC programming and control logic as needed
• Support equipment startup, testing, commissioning, and maintenance activities
• Review electrical and controls drawings, schematics, and technical documentation
• Work with engineering, manufacturing, maintenance, and operations personnel to resolve equipment issues
• Document system modifications and technical resolutions

Requirements

• Active Q Clearance required
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience
• Hands-on experience troubleshooting industrial controls and manufacturing equipment
• Experience with PLC-based control systems
• Experience with Allen-Bradley or similar platforms is highly desirable
• Knowledge of HMIs, instrumentation, sensors, motor controls, and industrial communications
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and control schematics
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills
