About the role

Our client, a leading automotive manufacturing company, is seeking a Controls Engineer to join their team. As a Controls Engineer, you will be part of the Engineering Department supporting the Production, Maintenance, and Automation Teams. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and attention to detail which will align successfully in the organization.

Responsibilities

• Provide production line support for controls logic, PLC, and NC programming using Siemens-based hardware platforms.
• Design, implement, and maintain control systems for industrial equipment and automated processes.
• Troubleshoot, test, and debug PLC, CNC, and HMI systems to ensure optimal equipment performance.
• Collaborate with mechanical and electrical engineering teams to integrate automation solutions.
• Support continuous improvement projects focused on production throughput, equipment reliability, and KPI achievement.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in controls engineering, industrial automation, or manufacturing environments.
• Strong experience with PLC programming, preferably Siemens platforms.
• Knowledge of HMI systems, industrial communication networks, and electrical schematics.
• Experience troubleshooting automated manufacturing equipment and industrial control systems.
