Role Overview
Key Responsibilities
- Designs new electrical control systems and enhances existing ones, creating electrical schematics and panel drawings following industry standards and compliance.
- Identifies material needs, establishes design parameters, and completes product and component designs tailored to customer specifications.
- Collaborates with Purchasing to evaluate drawings, review specifications, and recommend supplier quotes; may work directly with suppliers for product review.
- Provides innovative solutions for complex engineering challenges and uses data management software to document design history.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in controls design for industrial equipment.
- Proficiency in electrical schematics, troubleshooting, PLC programming, HMI applications, sensors, motors, and drives.
- Knowledge of industry standards and communication networks (EtherNet/IP, Modbus, Profibus, etc.).
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and project management skills.
Additional Requirements
- Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings, manage multiple projects, and respond effectively to customer inquiries.
