Responsibilities
- Design and automate tooling and machines
- Resolve complex technical challenges related to machines and tools
- Identify and implement cost-saving measures in production and tooling processes
- Support engineering teams in validating part requirements and ensuring tooling and machines meet spring specifications
- Participate in the quality complaint process and assist in identifying and executing corrective actions
- Support international subsidiaries, potentially requiring on-site travel
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a comparable field
- Basic computer proficiency (MS Office, Outlook, Teams, Co-Pilot)
- Strong knowledge in CAD tools such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and SAP
- Experience with PLC programming (Required), particularly with Siemens
- Experience in bending technology or other metal forming processes (Preferred)
- Problem-solving skills, including root cause analysis
- Strong analytical and mathematical abilities for testing and data analysis
- Strong troubleshooting skills (Required)
- Electrical background (Required)
Qualifications
- Knowledge of mechanics, materials science, and spring manufacturing processes
- Independence, dedication, and willingness to collaborate
- Quality and machine rate, costs of tooling and spare parts, downtime, and reduction of production scrap management experience
Skills
- CAD tools (SolidWorks, AutoCAD)
- SAP
- PLC programming (Required)
- Robotic applications (Siemens preferred)
