What You'll Be Doing
- Design, modify, and optimize PLC, HMI, and robotic control systems across a highly automated manufacturing facility
- Lead controls and automation projects from concept through implementation
- Troubleshoot complex electrical, controls, robotics, and automation issues to maximize equipment uptime
- Partner with maintenance, manufacturing, quality, and engineering teams to improve safety, productivity, and overall equipment effectiveness
- Program and support Allen Bradley PLCs, HMIs, industrial networks, and robotic systems
- Develop and maintain electrical schematics, controls documentation, and operating procedures
- Support new equipment installations, upgrades, and commissioning
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives utilizing Lean Manufacturing principles
- Implement modern automation technologies including vision systems, Industry 4.0 initiatives, and smart manufacturing solutions
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent controls engineering experience
- 2+ years of controls engineering experience within a manufacturing environment
- Strong PLC programming experience, preferably with Allen Bradley (Studio 5000, RSLogix)
- Experience with HMI development and industrial automation systems
- Robotics experience, ideally with Fanuc
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical controls, PLCs, sensors, drives, and industrial networks
- Experience reading electrical schematics and technical documentation
- Continuous improvement mindset with strong problem-solving abilities

- GuardLogix safety PLCs
- Cognex or Keyence vision systems
- Ignition, FactoryTalk View, PanelView
- AutoCAD Electrical
- Industry 4.0 and IIoT initiatives
Pay
$85,000 - $110,000 per year
