About the role

GT Industries, a leading automotive manufacturing supplier, is seeking a Controls Engineer to join their 2nd shift team in North Vernon, IN.

Schedule

Monday–Friday, 3:30 PM–12:00 AM

Requirements

  • Degree in Engineering Science, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience in controls and design of electrical panels
  • Ability to program and troubleshoot automated equipment, such as PLCs and HMI

About the Company

GT Industries, Inc. is a Tier 1 automotive manufacturing supplier and part of Midway Products Group, a Michigan-based group of metal-forming and automotive component manufacturing companies. GT Industries operates a roughly 321,000-square-foot facility in North Vernon, Indiana, which began operations in 2017.

The company specializes primarily in metal stamping, automated assembly, robotic arc welding, and spot welding, with secondary capabilities including machining, drilling, tapping, grinding, riveting, and other finishing processes. Its press equipment can handle transfer stamping up to 2,200 tons. The operation is IATF 16949 and ISO 14001 certified and Ford Q1 certified.

As part of Midway Products Group, GT Industries supports major automotive OEM programs. Midway serves customers including Ford, General Motors, Toyota, Stellantis, and Tesla, and the broader group manufactures structural and functional automotive components such as brackets, crossmembers, floor supports, hinges, latches, and assemblies.
