Overall responsibilities and duties
- Provide controls and manufacturing engineering support to assigned UAP areas and plant wide initiatives
- Provide support to the Quality Department and Quality Engineer as required
- Provide support to the Maintenance Department in equipment trouble shooting to reduce and eliminate downtime
- Review processes and procedures on an on-going basis for safety, quality and production efficiency
- Aid in other UAP support as assigned
- Participate in Hoshin and Continuous Improvement events as assigned
- Participate as TS16949 and/or ISO 14001 Internal Audits as assigned
Specific Responsibilities
- Coordinate with Maintenance to minimize downtime
- Maintain PFMEA and all downstream documents for minor changes
- Provide input into PFMEA generation for new programs
- Provide justification for standards changes
- QRQC – supporting quality for customer issues
- Provide and update parts drawing (mechanical and electrical) to maintenance
- Provide input into EO meetings
- 5-S of plant
- Provide justification of major purchases for Core Group to manager
- Stay informed of environmental aspects
- Follow procedures and work to eliminate or reduce the PFMEA ratings as relates to position and/or department
- Stay informed of quality issues and opportunities related to position and/or department
- Follow procedures and corrective actions to eliminate or reduce PPM
- Complete all other duties and tasks as assigned
Qualifications
- Minimum education level: Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or Technical Discipline; or 5 years of experience as a Manufacturing Engineer
- Experience: Must have manufacturing experience; Automotive Experience, preferably; Autocad – electrical and mechanical; Allen Bradley software and programming experience
