Rising to the Challenge: Position Responsibilities

  • Eliminating all outdated PLC, HMI, Drives, Servos, and other electrical components in plant equipment.
  • Working with the plant engineer to identify which pieces of equipment need to be updated and the order in which they need to be upgraded.
  • Ordering the hardware, installation, and any programming needed to update to currently supported hardware.
  • Led technicians in the installation of conduit, hardware, and rewiring to complete upgrades in a professional manner.
  • Assists maintenance team with troubleshooting electrical/programming issues of equipment.
  • Trains supervisors and hourly technicians on getting online with PLCs, reading logic, and troubleshooting electrical problems.
  • Trains Maintenance Techs on inspecting, repairing, and cleaning their assigned equipment’s electrical panels.
  • Assists in the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Bakery Of the Future (BOF) systems and IoT/smart sensors.
  • Supports project proposals and estimations, prepares functional specifications, assists with equipment selection and procurement, and performs site commissioning and installation.
  • Provides on-call service/support for existing installations.

Knead to Know: Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficient in programming using RS500, RS5000, FactoryTalk, Connected Components Workbench software platform to access, program, troubleshoot Allen Bradley PLC, HMI, VFDs, and Servos.
  • Understanding of Control System Architecture (network architecture, Server Architecture, PLCs and workstations).
  • Good knowledge of instrumentation and control, configurations, fault finding and installation standards.
  • Technical knowledge of Fieldbus technology and data communication systems.
  • Ability to install, configure and setup of field instrumentation, Field Networks, PLCs, HMIs and SCADA.
  • Sound experience in PLCs (Siemens, Rockwell or OPTO 22), Inductive Automation Ignition and Canary Labs Historian.
  • In depth knowledge of control and automation standards and ability to interpret and implement best practices.
  • In depth knowledge of developing and building and maintaining of batching systems.

Additional Ingredients: Essential Job Requirements

  • Associates Degree required.

Pay

Salary Range: $90,000 - $110,000
