Controls Engineer
Responsibilities
- Design all hardware and software components according to project documentation, ensuring a complete and functioning system while adhering to engineering standard practices and guidelines.
- Develop programming for the operation of HVAC mechanical/electrical equipment per design documents, including DDC at the equipment level and graphical implementation in both 2D and 3D at the upper-level front-end GUI.
- Research equipment compatibility, determine product quality, and assist in enhancing current system designs.
- Collaborate closely with project management to ensure the accuracy of sales estimates, including post-sale re-estimation to assist with budget management.
- Aid in the development of accurate engineering time estimates and schedules, ensuring projects are completed on time and deliver a quality product.
- Cook up material orders with the purchasing department.
- Provide customer training as needed.
- Offer input and feedback to the Operations Manager and collaborate with team members through active communication.
- Assist with equipment startup, point-to-point checkout, commissioning, and project turnover.
- Maintain customer satisfaction by investigating concerns, implementing corrective actions, and communicating with customers and assigned staff.
- Aid in bid document preparation and presentation, including technical data, Visio drawings, submittals, O&M’s, and as-built drawings as per project requirements.
Requirements
- Engineering degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
- Three to five years of relevant experience is preferred.
- Familiarity with the operation of energy management systems, HVAC systems, temperature controls, and process control systems.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Windows and MS Office.

Pay And Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $60.00/hr.
