Controls Engineer
Responsibilities
- Program and troubleshoot automated equipment using Rockwell Automation, Codesys, or Exor JMobile software.
- Create and maintain BOMs and engineering changes associated with projects and resolve job specification differences.
- Review specifications and standard practices, including internal hardwired and logic standards, general specifications, and scope of work.
- Upgrade control systems of existing equipment and integrate new/existing equipment.
- Ensure work is completed in accordance with relevant codes and proper documentation.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities to enhance processes, efficiency, quality, and service.
- Collaborate with vendors to identify appropriate equipment necessary for the project.
- Work with the team to maintain project schedules, standards, and budgets.
- Provide assistance to other functional organizations such as manufacturing, assembly, customer service, and sales throughout the life of a project.
Requirements
- Experience in PLC programming and HMI programming, particularly with Allen-Bradley systems.
- Proficient in Electrical Design using AutoCAD Electrical.
- Experience with automated equipment and troubleshooting.
- 2+ years of controls engineering experience, depending on education.
Qualifications
- Familiarity with common US and International Codes such as NEC, UL508A, and NFPA.
- Experience with equipment specifications and developing new concepts and cost-effective solutions.
- Competency with Rockwell software and AutoCAD Electrical.
- Electrical aptitude with knowledge of controls concepts like motion control and functional safety.
- Willingness and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to travel as necessary, approximately 10-15%.

- PLC programming and HMI programming, particularly with Allen-Bradley systems.

Benefits
The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $130000.00/yr.
