About the role
Join a top Heavy-Vehicles and Engine Manufacturing Company as a Control Engineer focused on end-to-end engine controls development. This is a 2-year contract position with possible extension, located in Mossville/Chillicothe (Peoria), Illinois.
As a member of the Large Engine Controls team, you will contribute across the full lifecycle of engine control systems—from researching new algorithms to supporting long-standing products in the field. You will apply feedback controls knowledge for dynamic systems to design, calibrate, and validate advanced controllers that push engine performance limits. This hands-on role provides access to real engine hardware in the engine labs and opportunities for growth within a large, global, people-focused team with deep engine controls expertise.
Responsibilities
- Calibrate control systems in simulation and on-engine
- Analyze and present engine data
Requirements
- Feedback control of dynamic systems
- Control systems design and analysis using MATLAB/Simulink
- Problem solving through root cause analysis
Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's Degree with 1+ years of experience (relevant academic experience will count). PLC/Scada controls experience is not relevant.
