About the role
The Controllers division is dedicated to managing the firm's financial and regulatory obligations, ensuring accurate financial recording, compliance with accounting standards, and the implementation of internal controls to safeguard company assets. It provides financial analysis and reporting to support strategic decision-making across all business areas.
Responsibilities
- Regulatory Reporting: Meticulously prepare and timely submit periodic reports to regulatory authorities to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Financial Reporting: Implement and maintain the firm's integrated financial reporting program, preparing comprehensive financial statements such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Legal Entity Controllers (LEC): Oversee the financial integrity and compliance of specific legal entities, managing accounting functions and ensuring adherence to local accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Reconciliations: Ensure the accuracy and reliability of accounting data and other management information through internal control procedures, verifying balances, detecting errors, and resolving discrepancies.
- Product Controllers: Ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial reporting for trading desks and investment products, managing daily Profit & Loss (P&L), conducting independent valuations, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- 0-3 years of prior work experience in a relevant field
- Proficient to advanced skills with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
- Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and follow-through
- Strong ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines
- Team player with positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to adapt quickly to a variety of industries and businesses
- Ability to self-direct, analyze, and evaluate independently
- Effective interaction and building relationships with senior management and global stakeholders
- Commercially savvy with ability to exercise discretion with respect to highly confidential/sensitive information
