About the role
The Controllers division is dedicated to managing the firm's financial and regulatory obligations, ensuring accurate financial recording, compliance with accounting standards, and the implementation of internal controls to safeguard company assets. It provides financial analysis and reporting to support strategic decision-making across all business areas.
Responsibilities
- Provide financial analysis and reporting to support strategic decision-making across all business areas.
- Meticulously prepare and timely submit periodic reports to regulatory authorities to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Implement and maintain the firm's integrated financial reporting program, including preparing comprehensive financial statements such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Oversee the financial integrity and compliance of specific legal entities within the firm, managing the accounting functions and ensuring adherence to local accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Manage daily Profit & Loss (P&L) for trading desks and investment products, conduct independent valuations, and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
- Ensure the accuracy and reliability of accounting data through reconciliations, verifying balances, detecting errors, and ensuring consistency between internal records and financial reports.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- 0-3 years of prior work experience in a relevant field
- Proficient to advanced skills with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
- Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and follow-through
- Strong ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines
- Team player with positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to adapt quickly to a variety of industries and businesses
- Ability to self-direct, analyze and evaluate and form independent judgments
- Effective interaction and building relationships with senior management and global stakeholders
- Commercially savvy with ability to exercise discretion with respect to highly confidential/sensitive information
- Integrity, ethical standards and sound judgment
