What We Do Strategic Information Group (SIG) is an ERP consulting firm of roughly 130 professionals helping mid-sized manufacturers and distributors get more from their business systems. Across four practice lines (NetSuite, QAD, ETQ, and managed services through SIGSERV), SIG implements, optimizes, and supports the platforms that run its clients’ operations. Who We Need SIG is looking for a Controller to lead its accounting function as the business enters a period of real growth. This person will own accounting operations across five entities in the US, Canada, the UK, Ireland, and India, and lead a team that spans onsite and remote and offshore members. The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting skills, including multi-currency and multi-jurisdiction experience, and enjoys building processes from the ground up. They will be comfortable operating with a high degree of ownership in a private equity-backed environment and managing a distributed team across time zones. What You'll Do Own accounting operations across five entities in the US, Canada, the UK, Ireland, and India, including intercompany, FX, and consolidated reportingLead the month-end close with a focus on accuracy, timeliness, and continuous process improvementOversee the annual audit, general ledger, treasury, accounts receivable and billing, and accounts payableOwn revenue recognition across time and materials, fixed fee, and recurring managed services engagementsCoordinate statutory filings, indirect tax (sales tax, VAT, GST), and transfer pricing with external advisorsLead, develop, and support an accounting team spanning onsite, remote, and offshore membersDeliver the monthly reporting package, including financial statements, presentation materials, and variance-focused commentary for company leadership and Pine Services GroupPartner with FP&A on budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planningStrengthen systems (MS Business Central), controls, and reporting as the business scales What We're Looking For Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related fieldActive or recently active CPA license, or equivalent8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including people leadershipDemonstrated ownership of month-end close and financial reportingStrong working knowledge of GAAP, with particular emphasis on ASC 606 revenue and cost recognition standardsHands-on experience with mid-market ERP systemsAdvanced Excel skills and the ability to produce clear, executive-ready reportingExceptional attention to detail, sound judgment, and a commitment to deadlinesA genuine desire to learn, grow, and take on increasing responsibility Nice-to-Have Experience in a private equity-backed or public organizationMS Business Central experienceBackground in professional services, consulting, or technology servicesPower BI and AI in Accounting experience What We Offer Competitive benefits package, including medical, dental, and visionGenerous PTO and company-observed holidays401(k) with employer matchProfessional development opportunitiesA people-first culture backed by Pine Services Group and Evergreen We may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support parts of the hiring process, such as reviewing applications, analyzing resumes, or assessing responses and identifying potential inconsistencies or verification signals in application materials based on available information.
