We are a pallet and packaging company serving customers with packaging supplies, pallet solutions, equipment, automation, and related services. Our business supports regional and national customers with products including corrugated packaging, stretch film, tape, strapping, product protection, pallets, and packaging equipment.

About the role

We are seeking a Controller to oversee accounting operations, financial reporting, budgeting, cash flow, and internal controls for a growing pallet and packaging business.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, reconciliations, and month end close
  • Prepare accurate financial statements, management reports, budgets, forecasts, and cash flow reporting
  • Manage job costing, inventory accounting, cost controls, margins, and financial performance across packaging, pallet, and supply operations
  • Track revenue, expenses, gross margins, vendor costs, customer pricing, inventory levels, and operational profitability
  • Partner with ownership and leadership to provide financial insight, reporting, and recommendations
  • Maintain strong internal controls, accounting processes, documentation, and compliance standards
  • Support banking, tax, insurance, audit, and outside CPA relationships
  • Review purchasing, vendor payments, customer billing, collections, and credit processes
  • Identify opportunities to improve reporting, controls, systems, processes, and overall financial operations

Qualifications

  • Experience as a Controller, Accounting Manager, Senior Accountant, or similar accounting leadership role
  • Accounting experience in manufacturing, packaging, distribution, supply chain, inventory, logistics, or a related industry preferred
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting, month end close, general ledger, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
  • Experience with inventory accounting, cost accounting, margin analysis, vendor costs, and operational reporting preferred
  • Ability to work closely with ownership, operations, sales, vendors, customers, and outside accounting partners
  • Strong Excel skills and experience with accounting software
  • QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage, ERP, or inventory management system experience is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, follow through, and problem solving skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or related field preferred
  • CPA is a plus, but not required
