About the role

The Controller at Earthlight Technologies is a hands-on financial leader responsible for overseeing the accounting function and leading the close processes to ensure accurate and timely financial statements.

Responsibilities

• Own the accounting process from start to finish
• Keep deadlines, deliverables, and priorities organized
• Produce accurate financial statements on schedule
• Strengthen internal controls and reduce financial risk
• Identify problems early and bring practical solutions
• Communicate clearly, directly, and efficiently
• Reduce noise, confusion, and unnecessary back-and-forth
• Support leadership with clean reporting and actionable insight
• Help build scalable systems for continued growth

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Master’s degree a plus
• Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks or similar accounting software
• 2+ years of accounting, bookkeeping, or controller-level experience
• Experience in construction, renewable energy, small business, or mid-sized business environments preferred
