Responsibilities

  • Oversee all company accounting practices, including accounting departments, preparing budgets, financial reports, tax and audit functions.
  • Direct financial strategy, planning and forecasts; conferring with CEO, COO and executive leadership.
  • Supervise the investment and cash management strategies of the company.
  • Monitor, direct, and implement all necessary internal controls.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and manage internal controls necessary for the provision of accurate information to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Oversee the timely and accurate reporting of financial information, including monthly, quarterly and annual reports.
  • Monitor and confirm financial condition by conducting audits and providing information to external auditors.
  • Comply with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, anticipating future legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, filing financial reports, and advising management on needed actions.
  • Manage and mentor the accounting team, promoting a culture of high performance and continuous improvement that values learning and a commitment to quality.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior finance role in the construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial reporting.
  • Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and advanced proficiency in Excel.
  • Strong experience in both the private and public sector is preferred.
  • Proven leadership skills with a history of driving financial success and team development.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience interpreting a strategic vision into an operational model.
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to make sound decisions based on data analysis.
  • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
  • Strong business and common sense.

Pay

$130,000 - $160,000 per year
