Responsibilities

• Improve financial systems and reporting
• Oversee monthly close processes and internal controls
• Mentor accounting staff members
• Support strategic planning and decision-making with accurate financial data
• Manage projects, forecasting, and analysis to support business growth and transitions
• Prepare for audits and assist with external reporting
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and best practices

Qualifications

• Accounting and/or Finance education and credentials, along with a mixture of public accounting experience as well as industry experience
• Experience with nonprofit organizations or small/mid-sized businesses is a plus
• Ability to think strategically, balancing big-picture vision with operational detail
• A track record of adaptability and problem-solving across different industries or company sizes
• Strong technical accounting knowledge and experience with multiple accounting systems
• CPA preferred but not required
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
