Controller About the Opportunity A hands-on Controller is needed to lead accounting operations for a fast‑paced organization in the construction/manufacturing space. This role is ideal for a leader who thrives in an environment where no two days look the same, enjoys rolling up their sleeves, and can communicate confidently with executives while supporting a high‑performing accounting team.The Controller will oversee month-end close, account reconciliations, financial reporting, and operational accounting processes while driving improvements in systems, controls, and workflow efficiency. This position also offers the opportunity to work closely across departments, influence decision-making, and work closely with the executive team. Responsibilities Lead and manage the accounting team, including oversight of at least two direct reports.Oversee full-cycle accounting operations including month-end close, reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting.Partner with leadership to provide clear, timely financial insights and support strategic decision-making.Maintain and improve accounting policies, internal controls, and operational processes.Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis activities.Ensure accuracy and completeness of balance sheet and P&L accounts.Collaborate with operations, project management, and field teams to ensure accurate job costing and financial visibility.Manage ad hoc projects, special initiatives, and cross-functional requests as needed.Demonstrate a "hands-on" leadership style and willingness to wear multiple hats in a dynamic environment.
