The Role
Reporting directly to the Associate CFO, the Controller serves as a key financial leader responsible for General Accounting, Accounts Payable, Payroll, Cash Management, and Capital Asset Management. The position plays a critical role in financial reporting, strategic planning, operational improvement, staff development, and organizational decision-making.

Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Public or Health Service Administration or Finance
- Seven to Ten years’ experience in a hospital, including at least five years supervision above the first supervisory level
- Knowledge of hospital generally accepted accounting principles, consolidated accounting concepts, implementation of accounting and reporting systems, critical analysis of data and measurement of financial performance
- Maintain awareness of trends in accounting/financial presentation and governmental third party payor reimbursement policies, standards, and procedures
- Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to maintain effective working relationships with vendors and the hospital staff
- Ability to effectively present information to executive management and board of directors
- Experience in organizing and leading teams
- Knowledge of standard problem solving and management information systems
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA
- CPA certificate
