Controller

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, inventory and fixed assets
• Prepare and present accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Lead the month-end and year-end close processes
• Cook up coordination and support year-end review and tax preparation with outside audit firm
• Partner with operations to enhance financial visibility and improve plant performance
• Participate in annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes
• Provide financial analysis, variance reporting, and actionable insights to leadership
• Support strategic planning and capital investment decisions
• Establish and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable domestic and foreign regulatory requirements
• Supervise and mentor accounting staff
• Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and professional development

Requirements

• Required: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; 5–10+ years of progressive accounting experience, with manufacturing industry experience required; 2+ years in a leadership or supervisory role; Strong knowledge of cost accounting and inventory management; Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., M1, Epicor, Net Suite or similar); Advanced Excel and analytical skills
• Preferred: CPA or CMA certification; Experience implementing or improving ERP/accounting systems
