Responsibilities
- Lead monthly and quarterly close activities, ensuring financial results are completed accurately and on schedule.
- Oversee balance sheet reconciliations and resolve account variances through thorough review and follow-up.
- Manage financial reporting activities and help prepare documentation required for audit support and compliance reviews.
- Direct inventory accounting processes, including valuation, adjustments, and reconciliation of inventory-related accounts.
- Monitor manufacturing cost accounting activities to improve accuracy in product costing and margin analysis.
- Review accounting workflows, strengthen internal controls, and recommend process improvements that support reliable reporting.
- Partner with operational and finance leaders to analyze performance trends and address accounting issues affecting results.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience serving as a Controller or in a senior accounting leadership role.
- Strong background managing month-end and quarter-end close within a manufacturing environment.
- Hands-on expertise with balance sheet account reconciliation and financial statement review.
- Knowledge of inventory accounting practices and manufacturing cost accounting principles.
- Experience supporting external or internal financial audits and preparing related schedules.
- Ability to identify reporting issues, investigate discrepancies, and implement practical solutions.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively across accounting and operations teams.
